Services
Client Intake Process: New clients are registered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays by appointment at our Career Center offices, but walk-ins will be registered if time allows. Eligible participants for our food closet include SSI recipients, households living at or beneath Federal Poverty Guidelines, Medicaid recipients and those who are recently out of a job. Participants must fill out an application and show proof of income and expenses. Certain restrictions apply. All qualified candidates are given a six month membership card which they will have to use to access all our services. Clients must attend at least one of the many classes or workshops we offer in order to remain in our program.

If you are a Case Manager or a Guidance Counselor, please download this form and print on your letterhead and give to clients who you are referring to our agency. This will help to speed the application process for your client.
Effective June 1, 2010, there will be a $10.00 monthly membership charge for each family while on the program.
Classes
We offer several ongoing classes at our Career Center each month and quarterly workshops in the community. Please contact us for details. Classes include basic Windows and Microsoft Word computer training, Budget, Checking and Savings basics as well as other relevant workshops from time to time.Workshops include surviving a tough job market and what it takes to be a W.I.N.N.E.R.
- Computer Classes: Classes held on Mondays from 6:00 p.m-8:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Participants are given a certificate at the end of each 8 hour training session. At the end of the course, clients are expected to know how to produce their resume and post it on a job site.

- New! Stress Management Classes: Classes are offered on selected Fridays. Check with the office for dates.
- Mental Health Counseling: Every Tuesday by appointment only.
- Biblical Counseling: Available Wednesdays and Fridays by appointment only.
- Budget Basics: Class schedule will be announced shortly.
- Interviewing Skills Class: Classes held every other Saturday.
- Typing Class: Classes held on Fridays.
Job Placement and Mentoring: Oasis collaborates with local employment agencies and local businesses to help inform our clients of available jobs to get them on the road to self sufficiency. Our Job Coordinator offers one and one training as well as group training to prepare our clients for the work place. Clients are given resume assistance, e-mail addresses, computer job search guidance and taught interviewing skills.
Clients who are being sent on interviews are given appropriate interview clothing from our Thrift Store as well as additional clothing for their first week on the job.
