2010-04-17: 5th Annual Dream Makeover |
|

Our 5th Annual Dream Makeover Luncheon took place on Saturday, April 17th at Indian Springs Country Club. Three Oasis clients were "made over: and "revealed" at the luncheon. Our honorary chair, Margarita Abrishami, founder of Vive Magazine gave an uplifting message on empowerment. All proceeds from the event are going toward the opening of our new Women's Compassion Center. We had 180 guests and raised over $7,000. We also announced the purchase of a butterfly for $1000.00 to be placed on the mural in our new Women's Compassion Center. Please consider leaving a legacy and investing in the less fortunate women by purchaising a butterfly. The proceeds from the butterfly sales will go toward completion of the Center and to help in the hiring of a mental counselor.

2009-12-18: Sixth Annual "Touch a Heart for Christmas" |
|
Our sixth annual "Touch a Heart for Christmas" kids party gave gifts to over 350 children this year. The annual event took place in the junior auditorium at Palm Beach Baptist Church. Many thanks to our sponsors for this year's event; Jarden Consumer Solutions, Greenacres and Lake Worth Post Office mail carriers, Key Club at Park Vista High School, Savannah Court, Pine Ridge Condo Association and many others for sponsoring over 1000 gifts for the children. This annual event is a major gift to the community as many parents find it difficult to provide gifts for their children. Oasis is thankful for all its partners for making this possible.

2009-10-24: 4th Annual Fundraising Gala - Update |
Oasis 4th Annual Gala raises more than $30,000!
Oasis Compassion Agency's 4th dinner and auction raised approximately $30,000 in profits on Saturday, October 24th. One hundred and fifty people attended the recent event at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. The master of ceremonies was A. Wayne Gill, legal advisor to Oasis. Gill is a partner at Adorno & Yoss LLP; he also is an interim pastor at Palm Beach Baptist Church, and the author of the book Tales My Grandma Told Me. The honorary co-chairs for this year's event was Senator Jeff Atwater and Senator Dave Aronberg. Music was provided by the Memory Lane 7 piece band.
The Presenting Sponsor was Gunster Law Firm, oldest lawfirm in Palm Beach County. Joe Curly, one of the partners, spoke briefly about the reasons his company supports Oasis and encouraged all corporations and individuals at the event to consider how they might also support the work that Oasis is doing. Additional corporate support was provided by Morning Star Financial Services, this year's gold sponsor and Adams Coogler law firm.
