2009-11-24: Girl Scouts Donate Food to Oasis

2009-11-13: Boy Scouts Donate 4508 pounds of food!

Troops from the Gulf Stream Council recently donated 4508 pounds of food to Oasis as part of their annual "scouting for food" program. This is the third year that Oasis has been a beneficiary of this program. Thank you to Von Mock, Karen Helstrom, Joanne Moniger, Steven Sattely, Scoutmaster Libby Devor and the Scottish Kite Masonic Ctr. Troop #202.

 
2009-07-20: Kids Rule!

7th grade student collects over 300 toothbrushes for Oasis!

Kylie Kuber, a 7th Grade student entering L.C. Swain Middle School, recently conducted a toiletries drive to benefit the impoverished families that visit Oasis each day. Kylie collected over 300 toothbrushes, in addition to toothpaste, deodorant and other personal care items. Kylie attends Praxis Community Church on Military Trail where she also helps with their ministry to the homeless.

 

McKenzie Nichols proves that you are not too young to be an entrepreneur!

In the pictures above, McKenzie Nichols sets up a lemonade stand in her neighborhood, in answer to our urgent plea for funds during the summer. In a matter of a few hours, McKenzie made $25.00 and is shown giving her check to grateful CEO, Sharon Gill. McKenzie attends Boynton Beach Community Church, a community partner of Oasis. Way to go kids!

 
2009-03-16: Lake Worth Christian Food Drive

Students and faculty of Lake Worth Christian school recently donated 1800 lbs of food to Oasis. Great job! Please check out our other food drives going on currently under the In Action tab above.
